Houlihan Lokey Expands To Real Estate Services
Investment Bank Houlihan Lokey has added a new dimension to its areas of operations. This Real Estate Lodging and Leisure Group has recently expanded its services to the asset level real estate solutions. A team of bankers from former Trammell Crow Co., who have been specifically hired for this purpose, will head these operations.
Announcing this at a news conference, the senior managing director and co-chairman of Houlihan Lokey Group, Bob Hotz, said that the team was pretty excited with its new venture. He added that this would enable them to play a lead role in the real estate market. According to Hotz, Houlihan Lokey, which was well known for its finance and advisory services in the past, could now directly participate in all the real estate transactions such as buying, selling and even in financing real estate.
There have been a series of recruitments made for this expansion. New appointments include Jonathan Gaenakos, who will be co-heading the group along with John Schoenfeld of Houlihan Lokey. Other newly inducted members of the team include senior vice president Stephen Pearlman, vice president Frank Muhlon and associate Nicholas Harris, who have all been associated with TCC for quite sometime.
Gaenakos, who has 22 years of experience in real estate business, feels that Houlihan has strong chances of make tremendous impact in the industry. He believes that the trust and reputation that Houlihan has built for itself in the real estate market as a middle level investment banker is absolutely perfect for providing the platform for the company to expand its services and reach out to its clients in a more unique way along with better investment options.
